Likes: This was my first year to use MFW. I like that I can use this curriculum for my 1st and 2nd grader. We opted to have our 1st grader join in on Adventures with her 2nd grade sibling rather than complete the 1st grade package. No trouble at all! We only used MFW for Bible and history this year, but next year we plan to use the music and science part of it as well. The read-alouds are an awesome selection of books. My kiddos really enjoyed them.

I like that the lessons were set up on a 4-day school week. This way, we could take off any Friday without feeling like we had to catch up. Or, if we got a little behind that week, we could use Friday to catch up.

I also like that I have to supplement my own language/spelling/writing and math. I am very picky about those subjects and prefer to use Abeka.

Dislikes: There was not a Bible lesson every day. Some weeks only had 2 Bible lessons while others had 3 or 4. I would have preferred 4 Bible lessons each week.

Overall, I was very happy with Adventures. We plan to use My Father's World Exploring Countries and Cultures next school year :)

Adventures in My Father's World for my 3rd and 1st grade children (2009).

Likes: I absolutely love this program. It is so interesting. I am learning right along with my children. So much of the work is done for you. My children love it too. I can use the same thing for my 8 year old and 6 year old. It is wonderful.

Dislikes: I have trouble finding some of the additional reading materials at the library. But it is a great curriculum even if you can't get the additional books from the library or elsewhere.
