Liked Answers in Genesis

We have used Properties of Ecosystems, and God's Design for Heaven and Earth (all three books). The readings are short and my children (from age 5-10) can understand the concepts. I would like them to have more experiment ideas; but if you prefer easy experiments, and demonstrations, then this curriculum is great. For example, the atmosphere demonstration involved wrapping the student's arm in a towel and blowing hot air from a blow dryer.

The worksheets and quizzes are nice but I think I'd like less paper/pencil work, and more hands on, like the Apologia science (we have studied Botany and Flying Creatures). God's Design is more concise and I felt like we covered more information in a year than with the immersion concept in Apologia. I'm proceeding with God's Design for life for next year but will research and add some experiments.

Properties of Ecosystems

We used AIG Properties of Ecosystems in 2019.

Likes: I liked the world view and the easy to use aspect of this book. Though it was a bit over the head of my 4th grader we learned a lot and definitely will use AIG materials again.

God's Design for Life

Likes: Biblical viewpoint, reading-book format with questions and some projects. I can use this for Year 1 in the classical 4-year rotation.

Dislikes: Would be nice if there was color on the pages, and not just gray.

AIG Books

We used books from AIG to supplement our elementary science courses from 2006-2008.

Likes: I really have enjoyed every book that I have bought from Answers in Genesis. The books are very sound biblically. I have learned so much myself. It is really nice to be able to give the reasons for the things I believe in Genesis and have the science to back them up. My son loved the books on the Dinosaurs the most.
