A Reason for Handwriting is great!

by Christie
(Portsmouth, VA)

I used levels A, C, and T of A Reason for Handwriting from 2005-2009.

Likes: I love the review sheets at the beginning of the book which help the student work on problem letters or areas. The border sheets at the end of the week really break up the monotony of handwriting by making a great present for someone to show off the child's hard work and improvement in handwriting!

Dislikes: When I was trying to follow the teacher's guide for assignments it was too much work for my daughter who has eye problems. Once I realized the dilemma I adjusted her workload and the program worked like a charm!

We've Enjoyed This Program

Levels used: K-Cursive
Dates used: 2004-2009

Likes: We have really enjoyed this curriculum over the years. My children have great handwriting and I feel that this curriculum has helped them learn to write well. They really enjoy choosing a border sheet and coloring it. I love that they write Bible verses!

Dislikes: The only negative I can think of is sometimes there is too much writing, so I may just have my child do every other line.

Levels T and C

by Jaime
(N Manchester, IN)

Levels Used: Levels T and C
Dates Used: 2007-2009

Likes: We have used Levels T (transition) and C of this program. I love that my daughter is using scripture to practice her handwriting. The lessons are short and sweet, with just enough practice. The border sheets are wonderful way to encourage a child to do their best work. After they finish their handwriting they can color the pictures to make it a work of art!

Dislikes: My daughter doesn't like doing the first 27 or so lessons, which teach formation of the letters. She thinks there is too much line space to fill in. I, however, appreciate that there is plenty of room for practice.

User Friendly!

by Heather
(Sachse, TX, USA)

I used level A with my son and he enjoyed the layout and the daily use of the verses that they used. It was a very user friendly format that encouraged writing and forming of one's letters in a fun and enticing way! My son-who usually fought writing of any sort-would gladly pick up his pencil and apply himself to these lessons. Well done!

A Reason for Handwriting Levels K-T

Likes: Bible based, open and go and easy to use. My son and daughter have wonderful handwriting just from the super short lessons and copying Gods word! They love the sheets for final copying at the end of the books!

Dislikes: I don't have any complaints about this program.
