BJU Hetitage Studies - She can't get enough!

Likes:
-Christian based.
-Uses a variety of ways to teach ideas including acting out stories and materials from around the house.
-Teacher guide is easy to use and well laid out.
-Student book is full of bright pictures.
-Easy for her to read on her own if she wanted to.
-Extra activities to back up/follow up what was learned.
-Progression of history from Columbus to early settlements.

Dislikes: Can't really think of any!

We found the BJU heritage studies at the library a few months into our school year. We were using another program and my daughter HATED history! SO I thought we'd try this. It was like day and night! We are almost done with the book and every day she asks for more! She loves the activities, notebook pages and even looking at the student book! I couldn't believe the difference in her attitude towards history just by changing to this curriculum!

The teacher manual is a must, it lays everything out for you from materials to extra facts for you to talk about to enrich the lesson. The notebook pages aren't required but really help to reinforce the topics covered and often are fun activities like decorating a tipi or making a canoe.

She's loved it so much and got really excited about BJU's distance learning program that we'll be using that next year for ALL our subjects!
