My 1st born really disliked reading...he struggled with phonics so reading was a chore for him... when we were 1st introduced to BJU's readers, he was so enticed by the pictures that went along with the stories that he begged me to read them to him... It was easier to get him to help me read them...

We have continued to read them through the 6th grade and all my children test well on Reading and Comprehension!
