Bob Jones homeschool curriculum is published by BJU Press. The company publishes Christian homeschool materials and provides distance learning services to homeschooling families. The curriculum is written from a Christian worldview with the goal of combining academic excellence with biblical truths.
BJU Press' homeschool curriculum for students in Pre-K through 12th grades includes core subjects like math, English, spelling, vocabulary, science and social studies, as well as electives like drama, speech, foreign language, and life skills. Parents can order courses for a full grade level or pick and choose the materials they need.
BJU Press also offers Distance Learning Online, a program that teaches through interactive video courses taught by BJU instructors. In order to use the program, students must have a computer and high speed internet connection. Parents can purchase entire grade kits or pick and choose courses by subject.
BJU Distance Learning courses are also available on DVD. The DVDs are leased for 13 months and then returned to the company. They can be purchased as a complete package or as individual courses.
Distance Learning Hard Drive is yet another option for students in K-8th grade. Video courses for a full grade level are hosted on a portable device that is leased to parents for 13 months, and connected to the home computer. This option does not require internet service.
