Cantering the Country is a three-year geography unit study that focuses solely on the United States, covering one state at a time. Children using this study will not only marvel at the vast geographic features in our amazing country, they will also learn about some of the people, places and ideas that made the USA great!
In addition to geography, children will study language arts, character, science and history in this program. Parents who want to use the study as a complete curriculum will need to add in a math and spelling program of choice.
The program is written for students in grades 1-6 but can be easily adapted for older children. The curriculum guide is not scripted and does not provide lesson plans, allowing parents the flexibility to proceed according to their interests.
The program also includes a CD-Rom with printable maps, activity sheets and notebooking pages.
