God and the History of Art

We used God and the History of Art, Level 1 from June 2009-Present.

Likes: My daughter really likes this program. I love that it is biblically based and the lessons are written for independent study.

The program is very reasonably priced and is enough art instruction to last you for up to five years.

You can also buy extra templates so that you can use the same program with more than one student. I plan on using this program again with my younger ones.

Dislikes: The book is black and white, but you it does come with color portraits of the paintings being studied.

If your child likes Biblical history this could really enhance their learning. My son does not like art, drawing, coloring or crafts but he really enjoys this. There is art and drawing in there but it is done in a history related way and he seems to enjoy it.

This is great for lessons on drawing, shading, painting, markers and art history in general. It teaches about some of the great artists and their works and the different times in history.
