I love Hideaways in History

We used Winter Promise Hideaways in History along with the 1st grade literature program. The History was my son's favorite part. It had many hands-on activities as well as rich "living books" and journaling on corresponding topics. I loved how the whole curriculum tied together as you choose readers to match your theme.

Next year, we are going to do the Animals unit. My daughter will be in kindergarten and LOVES animals so this will help her be enthusiastic about joining our homeschool. The main reason I choose Winter Promise is that my children learn together on their own levels. I have four children and I want to spend quality time with all of them while teaching quality material. WP provides one big theme we can all enjoy (even my 2 year old joined in on some of the projects and can tell you all about the Egyptians and the Lewis and Clark expedition) while also providing separate resources on their individual grade level.

Dislikes: some proofreading errors in History notebook, some reading books weren't high quality literature
