The Institute for Excellence has several programs available to help parents teach home school writing. Many parents begin with Teaching Writing: Style and Structure, a ten- hour DVD seminar that shows parents how to teach children to write.
The company also sells the Student Writing Intensive, a DVD course for students that helps them get started in the methods suggested in the parents' Style and Structure writing course. Student Continuation Courses provide 32 more DVD based lessons that that are a continuation of the Student Writing Intensive.
IEW also publishes history based writing lessons, advanced writing guides, grammar guides, literature content guides, poetry memorization tools, and a spelling program - The Phonetic Zoo.
