Latin for Children

We're using the Latin For Children Primer A, along with the corresponding Activity Book, answer key and pronunciation CD.

This program uses a grammatical approach to learning Latin. My dd enjoys the activity book which she'll do just for fun. There are additional downloads available on the publisher's site along with a helpful forum. The program can be used with either classical or ecclesiastical pronunciations. There are also DVDs available for teaching.

Pros: Fun activity book to practice the Latin vocabulary. Solid program with a wide Latin vocabulary. The tone of the text is written to the student and inviting. Easy for a homeschool mom with no Latin experience to teach.

Cons: Sometimes the suggested schedule can be a little to fast paced; be sure to follow your student's ability.
