Learning Adventures Curriculum Review

Learning Adventures currently offers three multi-level unit studies that are geared toward students in grades 4-8.

Each unit presents a chronological approach to history, while incorporating Bible, Language Arts/Literature, Social Studies, Science and Fine Arts through the use and reading of real books. The curriculum guides include hands-on activities, recipes, projects and experiments. All parents need to add is a math program of choice to make this a complete curriculum.

A World of Adventure focuses on World History, and is broken into six units covering Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance & Reformation and the Age of Exploration. Parents who have students in K-3rd grades can purchase supplements for these studies that are tailored to younger students.

A New World of Adventure covers Early American History during the the years 1600-1800, and Westward & Onward focuses on the years 1800-1860. Children who use these studies will not only learn about US history, but will also study other countries and cultures pertinant to the time period.

Each volume of Learning Adventures is broken down into 180 daily lesson plans, and contains a list of materials needed for each unit, making planning a breeze. In addition to the curriculum guides, the company also publishes student worksheets for each volume as well as audio workshops.

Two studies covering 20th Century are planned for the future.
