The Prairie Primer is a literature-based unit study that utilizes the Little House series written by popular author Laura Ingalls Wilder. Though the study focuses on literature and history during the 1800's, it also covers social studies, geography, writing, science, health, nutrition, Bible, character building and life skills.
The study is best suited to grades 3-6, but can be adapted for both younger and older students.
