We used Easy Grammar levels 3/4, 4 and 5 from 2005-2009.
Likes: First off my son started the program and said "I love grammar!" That in itself is a great recommendation. There are simple to follow instructions for teaching. Each day builds on what was learned previously so there is a lot of review and practice.
I like the prepositional method whereby the prepositional phrases are deleted. It helps the student to identify the parts of the sentence. I can see this will be of great value when my children get old enough to start dissecting Bible passages to understand them better. That is my main goal in teaching grammar! The lessons are also short so it does not get tedious.
Dislikes: As with most grammar programs it takes grammar out of context of writing. So while the 'rules' are learned they do not always transfer to their writing.

Likes: We just started using Easy Grammar this school year. So far my daughters are loving it! My oldest daughter (7th grade) said she is feels like she is actually learning and remembering something in grammar this year. We also use the Daily Grammar workbooks. These reinforce what they have already learned, and only take a few minutes to complete each day.
Dislikes: I don't really have any dislikes right now. The books don't have any color or pictures, but that isn't really a bad thing. They seem to get their work done faster because they are not distracted by the pictures.

Likes: I really like the repetition in the book. My daughter needs that to help her transition things into long term memory. The short one page assignments are great as she doesn't get bogged down or worn out. The text builds from one level to the next. It is begins by teaching 20 some prepositions which are supposed to be memorized (my daughter didn't memorize them per se, but now knows most of them anyway). Then subjects and verbs, etc are introduced building on the prepositional phrase.
Dislikes: Sometimes there isn't enough space for my daughter to write out complete sentences, but she tends to write large. There would be plenty of room for my writing.
I like this curriculum well enough that I bought the next two levels when I found it for sale at a used curriculum sale.

Product: Easy Grammar Plus
Dates Used: 2009-2011
Likes:
#1 Simple and easy to use. Students can read the instructions and complete the assignments on their own or with little teacher help.
#2 The price is reasonable and affordable.
#3 Includes plenty of practice lessons and chapter reviews
Dislikes: My only dislike is that the cover is not as "pretty" as some other grammar books, but its what is on the inside that counts!

We began using this program in 2004 and used it through 2010, through my daughter's junior year. It was wonderful and caught my daughter up in grammar as she was severely behind in that area. It is a GREAT curriculum and very inexpensive. I can not think of one negative thing to say about this curriculum. It is just awesome!
