Sonlight - Not a Good Fit for
this Conservative Family

I really wanted to like Sonlight as my children love reading and also history. I heard such good things about it. While I do think that this curriculum has mastered teaching in a fun way in which my children retained a lot of information, as a conservative parent I found fault with some of the books' content. Some of the books used in the cores are inappropriate for the ages being taught. Some have nudity in them or described in them. Whenever we purchased Sonlight I would have to do extensive research to find out which books were acceptable and which were not. For our family it was just too time consuming to use this curricula. My children are younger, and for a high school student Sonlight would probably be great.
