Vocabulary Roots

My son Aces all his SAT Vocab quizzes (the ones the teachers give to prepare for the SATs). Biology was easier too, having learned the roots.

Now the younger brothers are using this program.

What I love- the book is reproducible, but it's just as easy to do the work on lined paper. In fact, this gives them extra practice with the words, having to write it out on lined paper. The kids can do it on their own. I have them check their own work when they are done. They enjoy the lessons because the lessons are short, easy to remember, and not tedious.

What I hate- nothing. This is available on CD-ROM as well, but I just have the workbooks.

A great add-on, there is a set called Rummy Roots; I bought mine from Timberdoodle. It's not a part of CTS. They give great reinforcement of the roots.
