Likes: Each lesson has 5 sections. The student will have to write sentences, replace phrases, and apply meanings of their new words. I like that my son can work on it on his own. It doesn't require any teacher prep at all. Not only does it help with vocabulary but it helps with spelling and writing also. I really like this curriculum and will continue to use it for all of my children.
Dislikes: My son doesn't like writing so he has complained about having to write sentences. However, this is not the curriculum's fault. :)

This is the single best curriculum for vocabulary I have ever seen. We started using it in seventh grade, and I don't remember which one we started with, but we used these neat little vocabulary builders for the next six years until we ran out. We used from 2004-2010. There were no more beyond the last one we used this year. My daughters' vocabulary more than TRIPLED the first year we used this inexpensive curriculum. Then it increased exponentially from there. These books are really cheap and they are fantastic! I highly recommend this curriculum. There are NO negatives about it except that there are not enough books. We were sad when we used the last one.
